Easy Piano Songbook Sheet Music
There are many easy piano songbooks whose sheet music is readily found free. One site, Music Notes, will give you the first page of the sheet music free, and you can print it.
I use it for my students every day. They will say, "I want that song that goes..." and if I don't know the song, this is the site to which I go.
On musicnotes.com, type the name of the song in their search box, and select an arrangement type on the right side. We suggest "easy piano" as the type of arrangement to select.
Unless you can read music really well, choose a "transposition" to the key of C major or A minor. This will give you a version with as few black keys as possible.
Kids find black keys confusing.

It's As Easy As Banging A Drum
Most kids want to play easy piano songs but they have trouble with the sheet music. Now kids can get their start at the piano without reference to reading music.
Reading music can easily be delayed until later, when the child is comfortable with the piano keyboard.

Why Start With Number Piano Songbooks?
You have to have some language to communicate the musical notes to the child. It can be verbal and visual, it can be notes, it can be numbers. You can use any piano method book.
But you'll need some way to show the child which keys to press. We chose numbers because numbers are instinctive to a child.
The piano has so many complexities that it is best to make it simple in the beginning. If you want to play easy piano songs, the sheet music may have to take a back seat for a while.
This is especially true with younger kids so choose your piano method book wisely.

I may be in the wrong place… I am a piano teacher of 60 years. Two of my young (3rd grade) students want to learn to play Luke Combs’ song “One Number Away”. Do you have access to that, please, where I may obtain a copy of the sheet music?
Do you have Country Classics ebook. Ya’ll are dear to me in New Milford. My mom was in Village Crest nursing home there.
